Month of November (Tapestry)
The tapestry shows farmers working in the fields. In the foreground, a farmer ploughing is depicted on the left edge of the picture, to his right a tree that reaches across the entire height of the picture. The right part of the picture shows the two horses harnessed to the plough. In the middle ground other farmers can be seen who are harrowing and sowing. The background of the picture is separated by a field fence, behind which a farmstead is visible on the left and a castle in a river valley on the right, with mountains behind. The tapestry is framed by a border with floral ornaments.
The object is neither signed nor dated. It is assumed to have been made in Brussels in the middle of the 17th century.
