Description
The bowl is made from coconut and decorated with three scenes in relief: the Last Supper, the footwashing and a woman standing before a judge, with her right hand in the jaws of a lion - a jester stands behind her; fitting and cover made from silver gilt and decorated with raised ornaments; silver flowers are attached to the node and the lid knob.
Provenance
According to the 1830 inventory, the goblet used to belong to duke August of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg.
