Description
Oval turreen with cover and two rocaille-ornamented handles at the narrow sides; on the surface of the turreen and on the cover: oblong, rocaille-framed ruin landscapes with columns, sculptures, fountains and a few accessories, under pale trees; the lid knob in the shape of a curly cabbage head.
Provenance
Purchased on July 1st 1928 in Gotha from art dealer Karl Nagel, Weinheim (Bergstr.) for the sum of 150 marks.
