Description
The birds are represented standing on pierced rockwork, with heads turned towards the spectator. They are enamelled on the biscuit in brilliant famille rose colouring, their backs, wing and tail plumage in various shades of green, blue, rouge-de-fer, turquoise and black, their necks with sepia markings on a cream ground, their heads, crests and breasts coloured rouge-de-fer, with gilt beaks, yellow legs and bleck talons. The pierced rockwork bases are splashed green, blue and pink.
