Curved dresser with 5 drawers, walnut veneer, curved marble top, rich bronze fittings
Provenance
In the inventory list no. 1 of 31.01.1920 of Dresden Castle, the chest of drawers is listed under “Lachsfarbenes Zimmer (Wohnzimmer, Westflügel, 2.OG)”, which falls to the state as a room inventory marked in red. On the 1942 inventory list, 2 chests of drawers are listed under in the salmon-colored salon known as the “Damenschreibzimmer”. In August 1943, it was transported to a relocation site (Rammenau or Schieritz). An exact date of removal is not on record. Nothing is known about the circumstances of the loss of this object. It is assumed that it was lost in connection with the events of the Second World War.
