Description
Simple writing cabinet with veneer, bronze fittings and a mirrored door
Provenance
In the inventory no. 1 of 31.01.1920 of the Dresden Castle, the writing cabinet is listed in the "Fremdenquar. No. 2 am Bärengarten". Vorzimmer". According to the settlement agreement of 1924, ownership of the writing cabinet was transferred to the Free State of Saxony. The 1942 inventory mentions 4 mirror cabinets; in August 1943, the most valuable furniture and clocks were transported to a relocation site (Rammenau or Schieritz). A loss in connection with the events of the Second World War is suspected.
