Description
Two-piece rectangular belt buckle, right: coat of arms of the town of Guben with the year ‘1821’ engraved in a portal, left: carpenter's tools engraved in a portal, next to them the signature ‘F. Tiegedt’.
Provenance
Formerly the Guben City Museum. Parts of the collection were apparently evacuated to Kossar (today: Kosierz) in 1942/43. The part of the collection that remained in Guben is said to have been looted between 1945 and 1948 and has been considered lost ever since.
