1 small cabinet on a table, black, Chinese gold painting, with bronze fittings
Provenance
The cabinet is listed under “Französischer Galerie” in the inventory of Dresden Castle. According to the settlement agreement of 1924, ownership passed to the Free State of Saxony. From the 1930s, it was displayed in the Great Dining Room on the 2nd floor of the east wing. On the 1942 inventory, 1 lacquer cabinet was listed under “large dining room”. In August 1943, it was transported to a relocation site (presumably Rammenau or Schieritz). Nothing is known about the circumstances of the loss of this object. It is assumed that it was lost in connection with the events of the Second World War.
