Description
East Asian lacquer work. Small lockable chest with Chinese painting. Painting around the keyhole with three Asian reed roof huts as well as floral patterns and a tree.
Provenance
As part of the settlement agreement between the Free State of Saxony and the former royal family in 1924, the casket became part of the inventory of the Free State of Saxony. In the summer of 1944, it was removed and relocated (possibly to Rammenau Castle) as a result of the war. Nothing is known about the further whereabouts of the casket. It is assumed that it was lost in connection with the events of the Second World War.
