Description
Oval quatrefoil shape; the rims of the bowl and lid are decorated with a 3-cm-wide moulded ozier and a crimson stripe; on each side of each piece: a colourful bouquet, sprays and scattered flowers; a child figure, wearing only a little crimson cloak and carrying a cornucopia from which flowers and fruits are tumbling, functions as the lid knob.
Provenance
Purchased on July 1st 1928 from the art dealer Karl Nagel in Weinheim, for the sum of 150 marks.
