Provenance
The paintings were removed to the forester's lodge in Reuden, Zerbst district. They belonged to paintings that were packed in two boxes in the forester's lodge. At the end of the war, the forester Ouvrier fled with his family. The house was looted by locals and evacuees, including some families of craftsmen from Berlin. The looters probably opened the boxes and removed the pictures from the frames. This was done skilfully. The frames and crates remained undamaged.
