Provenance
The writing desk is listed for the salmon-colored room (living room) in inventory no. 1 of 31.01.1920 of the Dresden Castle. According to the settlement agreement of 1924, ownership of the writing desk was transferred to the Free State of Saxony. On the 1942 inventory list, a writing desk is listed under in the salmon-colored salon known as the “Damenschreibzimmer”. In August 1943, it was transported to a relocation site (Rammenau or Schieritz). An exact date of removal is not on record. Nothing is known about the circumstances of the loss of this object. It is assumed that it was lost in connection with the events of the Second World War.
