Faience Roof Rider: Sitting monkey with fruit (damaged)

Collection Eduard Fuchs, probably acquired after 1924 and in his possession until 1933; 25.10.1933 confiscation by the Gestapo; forced sale (payment of Reichsfluchtsteuer) by his daughter Gertraud Fuchs: auction Auktionshaus Rudolph Lepke Berlin, catalogue 2115, p. 39 - on 15.10 and on 16.10.1937 this ridge turret was auctioned under no. 625: "FAYENCE-DACHREITER: Sitzender Affe mit Frucht; braun glasiert. Höhe 30 cm Ming (Beschädigt)“.

According to the annotated Lepke catalogue (Kunsthistorische Bibliothek Den Haag) auctioned by China-Bohlken (Potsdamer Strasse 16, W9 Berlin) for RM 35,- together with lot 626 (both without estimated price). The copy of the minutes of the auction 2115 at the Reichskammer für bildende Künste notes in typescript "Bohlken" and confirms the price of 35,- RM for both lots (Landesarchiv Berlin, A Rep. 243-04 Reichskammer für bildende Künste - Landesleitung Berlin); whereabouts unknown
