Acquired in 1869 and placed in the Red Silk Room;As part of the 1924 settlement agreement between the Free State of Saxony and the former royal family, the two fire trestles became part of the inventory of the Free State of Saxony; On 19.01.1944 they were transferred to Schönfeld Castle due to the war. The further whereabouts of the andirons are unknown. It is assumed that they were lost in connection with the events of the Second World War.
