Originally, it was a pair of tables. In the inventory list, as part of the settlement agreement between the Free State of Saxony and the former royal house of 1924, 1 square table with connecting bar, Japanese painting is clearly listed under “Chinesisches Zimmer”, which belongs to the state as a room inventory marked in red. Rudolf von Arps-Aubert refers to it in his comprehensive 1936: „Als Zeugen seien zwei rot-gold lackierte Tische genannt, die durch ihre alte Inventarnummer 6 als sächsische Arbeiten bestätigt sind; der eine Tisch steht im Chinesischen Salon des Residenzschlosses (s. Abb. 6), der andere zurzeit im Königsgedächtniszimmer in Moritzburg. Beide Tische sind als Gegenstück gearbeitet und auf ihrer Platte mit jenem Goldornament verziert, innerhalb dessen ein Blumenmotiv und eine Fischreihergruppe in Relieflack dargestellt ist“. An exact date of removal is not on record; the measures were completed in the summer of 1944. They were relocated to Rothschönberg. According to the records, lost at the relocation site.
