Table with curved frame and lacquered Chinese table top

The furniture photographed in the Dresden Castle was state property in 1935. The photograph was taken in the “Georgenbau”, most probably in the former bedroom of Queen Carola. Both the recognizable parquet floor and the wooden panel behind it correspond to the photograph of a writing cabinet documented in this room. An exact date of removal is not on record; the measures were completed in the summer of 1944. The Rothschönberg and Zottewitz castles were possible locations for the removal. The surviving list of the goods removed by the Dresden castle administration for the Rothschönberg relocation site contains the following information: „1 Chinatisch“ und „1 gesgl. rot m.
